DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Mehsud youth on Saturday organized a peace walk in D.I. Khan as a symbol of sympathy with Mehsud tribesmen ousted from WANA as a result of a Jirga of Wazir tribe in the back drop of a suicide attack over Taliban commander Mullah Nazir about two weeks back.
The participants of the walk carrying banners inscribed with slogans like Wazir Mehsud Bhai Bhai and we want education and peace marched from Haq Nawaz Park to Dera press club.
The participants held a meeting condemning the decision of Wazir tribe according to which Mehsuds had to leave Wana after December 5.
A participant of the Walk Jamal Hussain told The Daily Frontier Post that the decision was deplorable and based on cruelty.
"Wazir and Mehsud tribes are brothers but there is a third hand who wants to make both the tribes fight against each other" Jamal said adding that they had cooperated at every front with the Wazir Tribe but now they ousted Mehsuds from there area leaving them in a sheer state of despondency.
Participants of the walk demanded of the government to provide shelter to the IDPs of Mehsud tribe who were hailing from Wana and other areas of Wazir tribe.
