Free, fair polls impossible in Fata, Ajmal Wazir........http://www.thefrontierpost.com/article/2405/

Farooq Mehsud
D.I.KHAN: General Election, 2013 will be not free and fair in FATA, therefore, I did not submit my nomination paper from NA-41 South Waziristan PML-Q Central Senior Vice President
Ajmal khan Wazir claimed before media while addressing a press conference here on Sunday.
Wazir, after submitting his Nomination Papers to run for NA-24 Dera Ismail Khan and PK-65 that due to failure of ECP to ensure implementation of the recommendations of the Joint Committee of the 11 Political Parties both leftists and rightists on FATA reforms which was presented on December 27, 2012 to the Election Commission of Pakistan.
Ajmal wazir added that none of the recommendations were practically enforced due to which the election cannot be free and fair in FATA.
He explained that they earlier recommended to the ECP for a crash program to provide Fata people with computerized CNIC and to register them as voters, but the request was turned down as there has been neither crash program nor any registration of votes on their door steps.
He further told that we recommended that ECP should provide opportunity to vote for the IDPs, as many tribesmen and women were living in IDPs camps and with out special arrangements they would not be able to use their right to vote. He said in that case this is a well understood fact that the turn out ration in the polls will be a meager one.
He went on to say after mentioning the recommendations one by one, that none of their recommendations was applied and in that case there was no chance of free and fair polls inside Fata.
"This is the reason that being a tribal of South Waziristan, I have decided to contest for NA-24 and PK-65 of D.I. Khan.
