PESHAWAR: Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) Central Spokesman Shahidullah Shahid while talking to The Frontier Post on Phone from undisclosed location said that Asmatullah Muaviya, the Punjabi Taliban Commander has no affiliation with the TTP Pakistan. The banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan’s central spokes person, Shahidullah Shahid further said that TTP will soon made a group of Punjabi Taliban and named a commander. While commenting on Prime Minister, Nawaz Sharif’s offer of peace negotiation, Shahidullah Shahid said, that the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan’s Shura will decide but attaching condition of Taliban dis-arming for peace negotiation is unacceptable.
Ihsan Dawar adds: Punjabi Taliban has strongly rejected the news of their expulsion from TTP and deposing Muaviya from the leadership of his group and have said there was no truth in the news and termed it totally baseless and fake.
A reliable source while quoting Ustad Farooq, the real authority in Punjabi Taliban faction said that they have a very organized and well disciplined network and it was impossible to issue a decision like that in a day or two. “We have Shura whose members are dispersed in KP and Fata at present” the source added that it can talk more than a week to announce a unanimous decision. He added that Muaviya Asmatullah was still working as Amir of Punjabi Taliban and enjoying full confidence and trust of the colleagues.
The sources said that they have only expressed their positive signs over the offer of the prime minister and will go for it after due consultation.
While replying to a query about the growing differences, the sources said they were not informed about the differences as it was too early to say something about it.
