D.I.Khan: Assistant Commissioner DI Khan Irfan Mehsud along with police personals carried out a crake down against illegal encroachment in Tank Adda, Daraban Road and Circular road of DI Khan City on Saturday. According to the Assistant Commissioner Irfan Mehsud, the operation is carried out on the direction of the Commissioner DI Khan, and this operation against non-standard foods, non-cleaness and illegal encroachment would be continued in DI khan. Irfan Mehsud added that during the operation, the illegal encroachments set up in front of hotels, shops, plazas were removed and more than a dozen shops and hotels were sealed and made it easy for the transport and public. On the other Hand the owners of hotels, shops turned the operation as a cruel, injustice and discriminatory against public and poor businesses community. In Tank Adda, Raz Gull, owner of the hotel told The Frontier Post that I am paying Rs1000 on monthly receipt to the Municipal Committee, and even than without a prior notice my hotel is sealed. This is unjust and unfair." Raz Gull further added that a commercial bank near to my hotel and a done illegal encroachment, but the government is doing nothing against it and it is just harassing the poor people. In Bannu, Adda, sweets shops owner told The Frontier Post, that on one hand we are tied and affected due to the night curfew while on the other hand, the government closed my sweat shop, I am worried what to do in such situation, I have one way and that is to suicide. The business communities blamed that the government was not sincere in its operation against illegal encroachment, adding that those who were influential and have political links go escaped. There is no action against the owners of big plazas that have also illegal encroachment. The government should start first from them, and then come to the poor business community.
