Farooq Mehsud
D.I.KHAN: JUI chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman said that there was no deadlock between Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F) and Pakistan Muslim League (N) over the electoral alliance.
He said that JUI-F would field candidates on national and provincial constituencies in all provinces in the upcoming general elections.
Fazl said that the elections must be held in time and in a free and transparent way.
This he said while talking to the media after submitting his nomination papers to contest the upcoming election from NA-25 Tank on Monday in the District Election Commission office in Tank. Maulana further said that he would contest election from Dera Ismail Khan and Tank for National Assembly seats.
Meanwhile, Ex. Deputy Speaker of National Assembly from PPP, Faisal Karim Khan
Kundi announced that he and his brother Ahmad Karim Kundi would contest election against JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman on NA-24 and 25 DI Khan. This he revealed in a public gathering at Kundi Model Farm in Dera Ismail Khan.
Kundi said that JUI-F always cheated the people by using their election symbol 'book' for political purposes, calling as sacred religious book so that the people cast vote in their favor.
Ex Deputy Speaker challenged the JUI chief for an open discussion (Munazara) so as the people should know who had worked for the uplift of the area.
